Camscanner, an app that helps you take a photostat/pic(replica) of a page using your android device.
In this post we are going to see how to use it.
Step 1: Open the app. a window identical to one displayed in screenshot should appear. Now tap on the camera button located at the middle of bottom panel on your screen. A screen identical to the one showed in the following screenshot should appear.
Step 2: Now an interface familiar to a camera app will appear. Focus on the page which you would like to take a copy of and tap on the camera icon to take the picture.
Step 3: A screen similar to the one displayed in screenshot will appear. Now if you are satisfied with the picture tap on the tick mark present at bottom right corner of your screen. Else tap on the middle back button to retake the picture.
Step 4: A screen similar to the one displayed in the screenshot should appear. You can adjust the size of the pic so that it fully accommodates the page/part of the page you would like to share.You can adjust it by making use of the transparent green bordered circles that will be displayed.Most of the times the app will autodetect the area so as to accomodate the whole of the page.You can rotate the pictures by making use of the 3rd and 4th buttons from the left.Now if you are satisfied with the picture tap on the tick mark present
at bottom right corner of your screen. Else tap on the back
button (1st button from left) to retake the picture.
Step 5: The picture will be cropped as shaped by you and the app will automatically adjust various image parameters to make the picture as good as it can.A screen similar to the one displayed in the next screenshot will appear.
Step 6: Here you again have buttons to go back(1st from left), rotate the picture(2nd and 3rd from left) ,adjust various image parameters(2nd from right and the top panel). Now if you are satisfied with the picture tap on the tick mark present
at bottom right corner of your screen.
Step 7: The screenshot is successfully saved now within the app.
The app offers various ways for sharing/saving a picture such as PDF,image etc.
You can also take a set of pages at a time and then share/save it as a single pdf document.
For adding more pages to the same file tap on the add button(1st button from left) and follow follow steps from 2 to 6.
When you are all done and want to save it as a single pdf tap on the pdf button(1st button from right).
Step 8: If you rather want to share it directly tap on the share button(2nd from right). Now if you wish to individually save/share the picture tap on the picture you would like to share/save. A screen similar to one displayed in this screenshot should appear. Here also you have option to rotate the picture(1st button from left), mark something on the picture(2nd button from left), recognize the text from the picture(3rd from left),share the picture(2nd from right) etc. If you would like to save the picture to gallery or share the picture tap on the share button. A pop window similar to the one shown in the next screenshot should appear.
Step 9: Choose the method you wish to share or save.
