Must Have Chrome extensions

One of the great things about Google Chrome is that it offers thousands of third-party extensions that add features. In this post, we list out a few of the best chrome extensions that you should have in Chrome, going into 2017.
For downloading any of the extensions mentioned in the list just click/tap on the name of the extension you wish to download. All extensions mentioned here are free to download and to use.
The extensions are:
  1. Extensivity An Extensions Manager to organize all of your extensions so they don’t take up half of your browser’s screen. It shows you what extensions you have operating on Google Chrome and gives you the option to disable some of the icons to keep your browser better organized.
  2. HTTPS Everywhere is an extension that enforces HTTPS to all websites, thereby encrypting your communications with the website, making your browsing more secure. Made in collaboration between The Tor Project and the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
  3. Session Buddy helps manage browser tab overload. It lets you save, close, and retrieve groups of tabs together, so you don’t need to keep hundreds of tabs open at once and waste RAM for fear of forgetting something. This video explains it better.
  4. QuickWrite Text Editor This extension quickly opens a new tab for a clean and neutral text editor that auto-saves while you’re working if you need to scribble something.
  5. User-Agent Switcher allows you to view how a website looks in different web browsers and on different devices, which can be helpful when troubleshooting website and SEO errors that you might not normally see, Or when a particular website only allows you to view certain content on a particular browser only.
  6. Save to FacebookFacebook’s “Save” feature lets users aggregate links, images, and videos they find on Facebook in one location in their account. This extension made by Facebook allows you to do the same from anywhere on the web, making Facebook a centralized place to save content you’re interested in checking out later.
  7. Google dictionaryYou don’t have to reach for a dictionary or open up a new tab to find out what a word means with this extension installed. Just double-click on the word, and a definition pops up instantly.
  8. Chrome Remote DesktopFor anyone who’s struggled with an overly complex remote desktop tool, this extension is a breeze to use. It lets you take control of a system remotely from any other system, with the Chrome browser doing all the heavy lifting. It’s especially helpful on Chromebooks.

This extension lets you easily drop Microsoft Office files into Google Drive to view and edit them without needing the software installed on your hard drive.
  11. Screencastify (Screen Video Recorder) Screencastify is a simple video screen capture software for Chrome. It is able to record all screen activity inside a tab, including audio.

  20. Smart Tab Mute Ensures that only one tab is playing sound at any given time.
As using multiple Chrome extensions simultaneously slows down your PC, you can start with the ones that will serve your instant needs and disable the rest. Later, you can switch them with others in the list as you explore the functionality of these Chrome extensions.

That's all for now!
