If you have an amazon Fire TV you will have encountered this problem at least once. We ourselves have faced this more than once and have effectively fixed them. Since finding the right solution can be troublesome. Today we will be listing out all possible ways to fix this. We will be updating this post as we face more and more of this problem, hopefully helping you fix it sooner. Without any further adieu, let's get to it.
Tip: The remote that comes with your Fire TV device will automatically pair after you insert the included batteries during setup. If your remote doesn't pair automatically, press the Home button for up to 10 seconds to try again.
First, check if replacing the battery fixes the problem.
Then, try unpairing and repairing your remote.
  1. Select Settings from the Fire TV menu.
  2. Open Controllers & Bluetooth Devices.
  3. Select Amazon Fire TV Remotes, then unpair the Remote from the list.
  4. Then select Add New Remote.
  5. Press and hold the Home button on your remote for up to 10 seconds.
If still your remote isn't working. Select Settings > Device > Developer Options > USB debugging from the Fire TV menu, and make sure it's set to OFF and try the above method.
If the above methods don't fix the problem then Install the Amazon Fire TV Remote app from here.
