Today's post is part of the Transfer files to Fire TV series. Today's post will detail the steps to follow in order to transfer files between your Amazon Fire TV/stick and Apple device running iOS or MacOS using Wireless File Manager.

  1. Install "Wireless File Manager" on your Amazon Fire TV stick. In order to find the app on your TV just say the app's highlighted name on the Voice Remote provided with the TV stick.
  2. Open Wireless File Manager on your TV and select Start Wireless File Manager.
  3. Remember, the Fire TV/stick and Apple device should be connected to the same WiFi network.
  4. Then a http url will be displayed in the app. Just enter the URL in any browser on your Apple device within your network.
  5. It provides a neat pitch black web interface to Transfer files between fire TV and Apple device.
  6. In order to upload a file select "browse" and select file to send to TV, then hit "send".
    Tip: You can find the sent files in "Wireless Explorer" using the "open file explorer" button.
  7. Remember to ensure that app is running in foreground/background while you are using the app; it is suggested to keep the app open; you can also hit home button to send the app to the background while in use.
  8. After completing your transfer just browse the send file from the list and select "open on tv" next to the filename in the list to open the file on your TV.
  9. When it is time to end the session just select Stop Wireless File Manager and exit the app.
